Lawsuits versus the entire Oganon entities, makers of Nuva Ring, maintain that the company withheld information regarding its potential side effects like Nuva ring stroke. Injuries that involve blood clot leading to strokes are the cudgels that class suits pound against Nuva Ring. Since readers particularly the users of Nuva Ring have a vague idea of how a contraceptive can cause bodily injury, this article will attempt to provide detailed Nuvaring information about Nuva ring stroke.

Nuvaring information presents Nuva Ring as third generation contraceptive. It carries a hormone called desogestrel which is a synthetic derivative of the second generation hormone progestin. This renders Nuva Ring as a third generation contraceptive. Focus of the blood clotting causes is centered on the synthetic hormone.

Desogestrel is said to be resistant to anti-coagulant proteins thereby causing nuva ring stroke or blood clots to form. The occurrence of blood clot is most often referred to in lawsuits as the cause of death or scientifically known as “venous thromboembolism”. For this matter, blood clots may also result to, but not limited to stroke, heart attack, deep vein thrombosis, myocardial infarction, cerebrovascular accidents, pulmonary embolism and death.

A medical doctor expressed opinion in an article confirming that third generation pills are indeed not suitable for all women. Use of this hormone as medication requires medical counseling not only about the risks involved but also about its benefits. However, this same doctor emphasized that the resistance to anti-coagulation protein resulting to blood clots is true in all birth control contraceptives and not just on third generation contraceptives.

The FDA also issued a statement to this effect, wherein their course of action is to work out with the manufacturers to update the information contained in their product labels and pamphlets. FDA maintained that they do not recommend women to stop using products that contain desogestrel or to change their contraceptives. Instead, more emphasis should be given on the proper medical consultation that these women should get before making their choice of contraceptive. Considerations should be made about health, age, lifestyle and present conditions before deciding and self-administering a contraceptive third generation or otherwise.

In order to combat the real issue, there are a lot of Nuvaring information provided online. Nuvaring provides information sheets regarding the use of their product. Users are enjoined to comprehend both benefits and possible side-effects. Nuvaring information is contained in an FDA approved information pamphlet. This contains a comprehensive description of Nuvaring and its hormonal component detailing how it works as a birth control pill and its possible risks and side-effects such as Nuva ring stroke.

As a summary, it was gathered that all birth control causes high risk blood clotting leading to stroke, heart attack, high blood pressure and other major ailments. FDA and other medical experts do not discourage the use of third generation contraceptives but instead instills proper medical consultation be fore deciding to use them. For that matter, a would–be user of Nuva Ring should gather enough Nuvaring information to learn possible side effects such as Nuva ring stroke.

Osteoporosis is a bone disease that is prevalent in women after their menopausal period. It is characterized by a reduction in bone density and leads to an increase in the risk of having bone fracture. In osteoporosis, the mineral content in the bones as well as the structure of the bone itself is greatly altered, making the woman susceptible to bone injuries and their complications.

Detecting Osteoporosis

By itself, osteoporosis has no specific symptoms. The risk or presence of the disease is only detected if the woman becomes injured or suffers bone fractures in circumstances that healthy people would normally not suffer the same fate. In this case, the situation is described as fragility fracture because the injury is greatly due to the weak structure of the bone.

In the more advanced cases of osteoporosis, vertebral collapse is also noted. This is a condition that indicates that the vertebra is no longer able to support the woman’s body weight. This is also accompanied by severe back pain, and regular and stinging pain caused by nerve compression. Fractures may also occur in other body parts, and depending on the severity and state of health of the patient, surgery may be recommended.

A very delicate situation is when a hip fracture occurs. In this case, prompt surgery is required because the condition brings with it deep vein thrombosis and pulmonary embolism with fatal consequences.

Treatment of Osteoporosis

Thanks to modern technology, there are now varied means for treating osteoporosis:

*Medication is the most common and a readily available form of treatment. In medication for osteoporosis, bisphosphonates are the most commonly used drug and is the first-line treatment for women who are affected with osteoporosis. However, the drug has a record of poor absorption. In order to maximize the potency of the drug, the patient must not take anything for at least 30 minutes after taking the medication. Another drug commonly used is teriparatide. The teriparatide drug is given to women with confirmed cases of osteoporosis or those who have already suffered bone fractures. Moreover, it is also used as an alternative to bisphosphonates especially when the patient cannot tolerate the latter. Teriparatide is administered in small injections.

* Another treatment that holds the future for the treatment of osteoporosis is hormone replacement. Although this process holds a lot of promise, its application as treatment for osteoporosis is not strongly recommended unless there are other uses for it.

* Nutritional factors. Calcium and Vitamin D are two very important nutrients a woman must have to effectively counter osteoporosis. Calcium is essential for bone growth, bone healing, and for maintaining bone strength. Calcium supplements are easily available in the market and it can contribute much toward countering osteoporosis. On the other hand, vitamin D helps reduce the incidence of fractures in women.

* Exercise. The proper amount and regular exercise are also very vital in ensuring that osteoporosis is treated and the woman’s bone health restored to top condition.

A highly anticipated case scheduled to be heard in the United States Judicial Panel on Multidistrict Litigation (MDL) could be one of the most important cases to be heard this year, at least for Bayer Pharmaceuticals. This anxiously awaited hearing, scheduled for September 24, will see oral arguments from both sides on the merits of consolidation of approximately 20 Yasmin and Yaz cases across the U.S. Additionally, the arguments will question if the consolidation should be mandatory, and if it would have any impact, either way, on existing Yasmin and Yaz lawsuit, both presently and in the future.

As the lawsuits relating to prescription birth control medications Yaz and Yasmin have mounted against Bayer Pharmaceuticals, attorneys in different states are managing similar cases against the company for the serious interactions of Yasmin and Yaz and the female body. Cases generally allege that the potentially deadly side effects, including heart attacks, strokes, gallbladder disease, deep vein thrombosis (DVT), and pulmonary embolism (PE). Additionally, most of the lawsuits allege that Yasmin and Yaz both put the patient at risk for a condition known as hyperkalemia. This condition is marked by increased potassium levels in the blood, and often has no symptoms at all. It can lead to cardiac arrest and kidney failure in affected patients and it difficult to anticipate until it is too late.

Other allegations in the Yasmin and Yaz lawsuits claim that Bayer failed to sufficiently research either of the medications. The majority of oral contraceptives contain some combination of two main hormones, estrogen and progestin, Yasmin and Yaz contain a new type of synthetic progestin, drospirenone. Patients exposed to this chemical have been clinically shown to be six times more likely to have blood clot issues. To this end, claims that Bayer also fraudulently concealed the risk of serious complications from taking these contraceptives and minimized the risk women faced when taking the medication.

A wholly separate case regarding Bayer’s advertising and marketing for Yasmin and Yaz came under scrutiny. In 2003, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) issued a warning to Berlex Laboratories, a part of the Bayer Pharmaceuticals Corporation, demanding they cease the use of an advertisement for Yasmin which appeared to gloss over the significant risk presented by the medication and insinuated that Yasmin was a safer alternative to other oral contraceptives. The FDA went on to say that it possessed evidence to the contrary; clinical trials showed drospirenone presented a statistically significant increase in serious side effects. In spite of this sincere reprimand and subsequent fine for Bayer, both Yasmin and Yaz remained the top selling oral contraceptives in the U.S., posting 2008 sales figures of $616 million for Yaz and $382 million for Yasmin.

With the increase in publicity from the recent filings and the weighty number of class action lawsuits mounting against Bayer Pharmaceuticals, the possibility for a Yasmin recall seems potentially proximate. Patients currently taking either Yasmin or Yaz should continue to be aware of developing news stories regarding these medications, as the evolution of these cases could present significant changes to both their contraceptive regimen and health care needs.

Would you like to make millions online? But how do you get started?

Don\’t feel bad, you see I was there but have since found out what is important and what iisn\’t…however only after buying $1,000\’s of ebooks, software, members only subscriptions…ad nauseum and being chained to the computer for 10-14 hours everyday, including Sundays, and tearing my hair out and losing my health…make an effort to get up and walk every hour at least or you might find yourself with a DVT and PE (Deep Vein Thrombosis and Pulmonary Embolism, I had both).

Please don\’t let this happen

Let me explain. I attended a desktop publishing adult ed class. It was cheap and was the only course in computers that was offered back then. This shows you how long ago I my work at home quest, doesn\’t it?

Following the critical step of learning how to turn on a computer, yes I learned on a mac at the school, then eventually had to re-learn a pc, I started attempting to design a simple page and subsequently.

We all went awry back then Internet Marketing was the main focus for a market to attack. Don\’t do it! You won\’t be able to compete with the 1,000\’s of whales… as in very large animals that are called \’guru\’s or marketing experts. You will find a heap of competition in Internet Marketing and your life will be one of severe frustration trying to better these guru\’s. They have the money, savvy and extra help to make superior products and know how to promote them. Plus they conspired with each other in a joint venture, which isn\’t necessarily a negative thing but in too many cases it is. Aren\’t you tired of seeing the same email ad from 30 different marketers?

My suggestion is to research an easy to work with program to design a web site. There are free one\’s out there but they aren\’t that easy to use. SiteBuildIt! is the best for anyone just starting out. I used it when it was first offered and found it to be an incredible tool that not only built your web site but designed it for the Search Engines, and now very easily adds video (which is very hot). Even if you aren\’t a newbie.

Lastly, make sure you pick a market that has some monthly searches and has less than 100,000 results. You can do this manually or use other tools that might cost a bit. I have a list of these tools on the page below.

Whatever you do, make sure you keep focused and don\’t get the ONLY money you ever have to spend! or some other b.s.

Spend a few bucks and most significantly get to work.

If you aren\’t spending the grocery money, and if not, this home based business will make you wonder why you hadn\’t started before. Trust me, you won\’t regret it!

Yaz lawyers are pharmaceutical product liability attorneys and medical fraud lawyers who are currently investigating and filing claims against the manufacturers Bertex/Bayer. The evidence to date suggests that the use of Yaz and Yasmin are associated with heart attack and stroke, other venous and arterial thrombotic and thromboembolic events, deep vein thrombosis, DVT, thromboembolism, pulmonary embolism and blood clots and well as hypertension, cardiac arrhythmia, gallbladder disease and other side effects.

From the Yaz lawyers’ perspective, the Yaz/Yasmin lawsuits are relatively unique as pharmaceutical product liability litigation because of the evidence of misrepresentation, fraud and over-promotion of the drugs on the part of the manufacturers, both misrepresenting the potential benefits of the drugs and minimizing their risks. Some Yaz lawyers will approach the litigation solely as pharmaceutical product liability lawsuits; others, with experience in medical fraud litigation will want to include causes of action also for fraud and misrepresentation, and will likely seek punitive damages for manufacturers. For a more complete discussion you may consider “Yaz Drug Fraud, the Lawyer’s Perspective” an article that also considers objectively the options to pursue Yaz litigation in the context of large MDL or class action cases or as individual litigation.

The evidence of the Bayer entities over-promotion and misrepresentation of both the benefits and risks of Yaz have yielded the concurrence of the FDA, in letters to the manufacturer. In 2003 the FDA wrote to Bertex Laboratories, then the manufacturer of Yasmin, a company subsequently purchased by the Bayer entities, stating: “The TV ad misleadingly overstates the efficacy and safety of Yasmin by suggesting that Yasmin is unique and therefore clinically superior to other birth control pills because it contains the chemically different progestin drospirinon.” Despite the FDA correspondence, Bertex and then Bayer continued to mislead the public in their advertising, both misrepresenting the drug as superior to other birth control pharmaceuticals and minimizing the risks.

In 2008 the FDA wrote to Bayer, again warning of the misleading character of its television advertisements for Yaz and Yasmin to obscure the risks of the drug. According to the FDA “The overall effect of the distracting visuals, graphics, concurrent supers and background music is to undermine the communication of the important risk information, minimizing these risks and misleadingly suggesting that Yaz is safer than has been demonstrated by substantial evidence or substantial clinical experience.” And the risks that the FDA considered were minimized by Bayer in its advertising, included venous and arterial thrombotic and thromboembolic events, such as myocardial infarction (heart attack), thromboembolism and stroke, hepatic neoplasia, gallbladder disease and hypertension.

Our Yaz drug fraud lawyers consider that there are substantial advantages to including fraud and misrepresentation “causes of action” to the usual strict product liability and negligence claims commonly brought in drug product liability litigation. One advantage is that there will be the potential to obtain “punitive damages,” in addition to the usual compensatory damages, to punish the drug company for its misrepresentations and to set an example so that other drug companies will not use the same tactic of misrepresentation again.

Punitive damages may indeed be deemed appropriate and justified. As the result of the Bayer entities misrepresentation of the benefits and risks of Yas and Yasmin in its television commercials it quickly obtained an advantage over the other manufacturers of birth control pills. Our Yaz drug fraud lawyers consider that the success of Yaz and Yasmin indeed can be directly attributable to its misrepresentations with regard to the drugs purported benefits over other birth control pharmaceuticals. The Bayer entities have made their huge profits in substantial part because of their advertising misrepresentations, and as our Yaz drug fraud lawyers analyze it, punitive damages would be justified to strip Bayer of its ill-gained profit and to set the example for other drug companies that they too must refrain from misrepresentation as the means to gain the competitive advantage.

Nuva ring and blood clots have been persistently associated with each other. When the case worsens, the clotting of the blood could cause deep vein thrombosis, pulmonary embolism and at the worst it could result to death. Some patients are relatively lucky enough to have passed the struggle but others not, thus leading to some lawsuits. It is important to note the true issues behind having Nuvaring blood clots.

The etonogestrel component. Nuvaring blood clots arise primarily because of the presence of a high dose of etonogestrel in the medication. This is considered as the metabolite of the progestin desogestrel which is characterized to be life threatening thus leading to issues on Nuva ring and blood clots. It was found out in studies that the desogestrel which is a third generation progestin could lead to higher risks of deep vein thrombosis and other forms of blood clotting.

Lack of information to help the patients on the side effects of Nuvaring. Though the company making the ring had exerted efforts to change their product inserts, they failed to place a more meaningful warning in the use of their product. They should have at least considered putting the caution in bold black letters to define the medical conditions associated to Nuvaring blood clots. Responsibility on this matter should be taken accordingly in order to prevent Nuva ring and blood clots.

Improper insertion of the product. A patient could not start using the Nuvaring without consulting the doctor. It is important to know when and how to insert the product. Severe Nuvaring blood clots could result from improperly guided insertions. It is always important to pose questions on how to use the product in order to result to health benefits and favorable results rather than having Nuva ring and blood clot problems.

There are no specific laws governing the use of the product. Despite having Nuvaring blood clots and other associated problems, there is no such law prohibiting its use. The doctors decide on who could make use of the product and sometimes it is disgusting to note that they eliminate the adverse effects. When this happens, there is a failure to educate the patients with the Nuvaring consumption.

Some fake Nuvaring products may be found in the market. As in any other item, the Nuvaring had also been faked by other people with selfish intent. These individuals want to gain money for themselves by putting the lives of others at risk. This is a selfish act that leads to more concerns on Nuva ring and blood clots.

Everybody should be responsible in order to eliminate the issues on the use of Nuvaring. The only way to turn away from the harsh possibilities is for all people and companies to work hand-in-hand. The manufacturer, physicians, the FDA and the patients have to set common goals together to combat irregularities on the drug. This is the fastest and most effective way to save lives from the Nuvaring blood clots and other associated conditions drawn from its use.

Lawsuits were filed in several states against Bayer Pharmaceuticals Corporation and other Bayer related companies, alleging that Bayer did not provide adequate warnings against Yasmin/Yaz side effects potentially increasing the risk of serious health complications, including heart attacks, strokes, gallbladder disease, deep vein thrombosis, pulmonary embolism. In light of these suits being filed, three main firms responsible for managing the majority of these lawsuits have filed a joint motion asking that the Yasmin/Yaz litigation be combined. This motion would condense the suits and transfer them to Chief Judge James G. Carr of the United States District Court for the Northern District of Ohio.

Lawsuits were filed against Bayer after a series of reports were released linking Yasmin/Yaz to several deaths nationwide. Some of these cases were fatal; complications included such serious effects as stroke and heart attacks. The complications were caused by different factors, but one of the most notable interactions between the contraceptive and women’s bodies was the presence of high levels of potassium. These raised levels are potentially dangerous for women with prexisting conditions such as diabetes, obesity, chronic high blood pressure, renal (kidney) conditions, history of stoke, or deep vein thrombosis. More often than not, women were unaware or unwarned of the potentially serious side effects.

In the past, Bayer has caught the ire of the FDA for running misleading advertisements. In 2003, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) issued a warning to Berlex Laboratories, an integrated part of the Bayer Pharmaceuticals Corporation, advising them to cease the use of an advertisement for Yasmin. The FDA claimed that the advertisement was misleading, making Yasmin seem as if the side effects were significantly reduced and minimized the warnings of serious health complications due to side effects, especially when the FDA had empirical evidence indicating that drospirenone (one of the chemicals in Yasmin/Yaz) presented added clinical risks. Additionally, the FDA advised Berlex that the advertisement made Yasmin seem superior to other contraceptives currently available.

Despite the removal of the ad and an expensive campaign to correct their mistake, Yasmin is still the top selling oral contraceptive in the nation; in 2008, Yaz accounted for 17.7% of the birth control market with sales of $616 million and Yasmin had an additional 11% of the market with $382 million in sales. Though both Yasmin and Yaz are required to carry the FDA’s strongest warning label, they still present a potentially serious health risk.

Thrombophlebitis is swelling (inflammation) of a vein caused by a blood clot. On rare occasions, thrombophlebitis (often shortened to phlebitis ) can affect veins in your arms. At times, when affecting the greater saphenous vein, thrombophlebitis can progress into the deep venous system, which may lead to pulmonary embolism. When it occurs repeatedly in different locations, it is known as “Thrombophlebitis migrans”. Thrombo means clot. Phlebitis means a vein with inflammation, or the swelling and irritation that happens as the result of an injury. Thrombophlebitis also is known as phlebitis, phlebothrombosis, and venous thrombosis. Thrombophlebitis often is caused by prolonged inactivity, such as from sitting during a long period of travel in an airplane or automobile or from lengthy bed rest after surgery. Often, thrombophlebitis occurs in people with varicose veins; however, most people with varicose veins do not develop thrombophlebitis.

Thrombophlebitis itself may not be too serious, but it can lead to other conditions that are life-threatening. Paralysis, certain types of cancer and use of the hormone estrogen also may lead to thrombophlebitis. An inherited tendency for blood clots places you at higher risk of thrombophlebitis. In rare occasions, some cases can lead to infection and tissue damage from the loss of healthy circulation. There are two parts to thrombophlebitis, inflammation of a vein and blood clot formation. If the inflammation is minor, the disease usually is called venous thrombosis or phlebothrombosis. The main symptoms are tenderness and pain in the area of the affected vein. Redness and/or swelling also may be seen. Paralysis, certain types of cancer and use of the hormone estrogen also may lead to thrombophlebitis. An inherited tendency for blood clots places you at higher risk of thrombophlebitis. If an intravenous line is in use, the risk of superficial thrombophlebitis may be reduced by routine rotation of the IV site and immediate removal of the IV line if signs of inflammation develop.

Causes of Thrombophlebitis

The common causes of Thrombophlebitis include the following:

Sitting for a long period of time (such as on a long airplane trip) increases a person’s risk of thrombophlebitis.

Cigarette smoking.

An infection or an injury to a vein.

You may get a thrombophlebitis from wearing a cast which can cause your blood to pool.

Taking birth control pills.

Intravenous drug use.

Caustic materials, such as lighter fluid and street drugs, injected intravenously.

Symptoms of Thrombophlebitis

Some symptoms related to Thrombophlebitis are as follows:

Warmth and tenderness over the vein.

Skin redness (not always present).

Hard vein.

Local warmth.

A feeling of heaviness in the leg or affected area.

Swelling ( edema ) of the extremities (ankle and foot).

Treatment of Thrombophlebitis

Here is list of the methods for treating Thrombophlebitis:

Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory medications (NSAIDS) such as ibuprofen to reduce pain and inflammation.

Rest and Firm bandaging.

Apply moist heat to reduce inflammation and pain.

Antibiotics are prescribed if infection is present.

In rare instances, a filter may be inserted into the main vein in your abdomen (vena cava) to prevent clots that break loose in leg veins from lodging in your lungs

Keep pressure off of the area to reduce pain and decrease the risk of further damage.

Surgical removal, stripping, or bypass of the vein is rarely needed but may be recommended in some situations.

A few simple measures can help reduce your risk when traveling. Avoid dehydration. Drink plenty of fluids, avoiding alcohol. Avoid wearing restrictive clothing around the waist or legs. If possible request an aisle or bulkhead seat where you have more legroom.Exercise every 20-30 minutes. Wiggle toes, ankles and feet. Stretch lower legs and knees as space allows doing several repetitions for 15 seconds. Get up and walk around periodically. Movement of the upper body and changes in position help with sluggish circulation that leads to the problem.

Hundreds of people worldwide suffer from Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT) every year as a result of taking long plane flights as well as traveling by bus, car, truck or train. DVT is caused by a blood clot forming in a deep vein, usually in the leg. The danger besides pain and swelling localized to the leg are clots, known as pulmonary embolism, that break loose and travel to the heart or lung. Development of a clot is increased due to reduced blood circulation at high altitudes and cramped airplane conditions for prolonged periods of time making exercise difficult. Normal movement of lower extremity muscles is important for smooth flow of blood returning from the legs. The medical term of “economy class syndrome” is used to describe the deep vein thrombosis which may follow air travel. Although it is a greater risk for prolonged travel it can occur with trips of as little as two hours even in travelers who are in good health.

It is estimated that 15% of adults suffer from some sort of venous disease. Vein disorders happen when when the valves that regulate blood flow weaken, allowing deoxygenated blood to flow backwards. This makes pressure build up in the bad veins, causing them to become slow and increasingly swollen and twisted. There are a number of factors that can increase your risk for developing a venous disease. They include genetic predisposition, pregnancy, obesity, standing for long amounts of time, and medication, among others. There is no way to completely cure valve malfunction in the veins, but if you know what type of disease you are dealing with, you may be able to reduce your symptoms.

Believe it or not, there is a natural ingredient from Europe that can help change the way your legs feel and the way you feel about the circulation in your legs. Whether we realize it or not, the circulation in our legs can have a huge influence on how we feel and what we do everyday and perhaps even more so every evening. The comfort level of our legs, or better said, their discomfort level at the end of the day can adversely affect our social life and fitness activities – not to mention adversely affecting our sleep. If our legs felt better perhaps we would find it easier to do the things we’d love to do, but find it so difficult to muster the motivation. As if the way our legs can feel at the end of day isn’t challenging enough, the changes in the circulation in our legs as we age can seem even more hopeless and discouraging. Now add to that the seeming conspiracy among fashion designers to have us exposing even larger portions of our aging legs and we have a problem that over 80 million Americans with varicose veins understand all too well.

Symptoms

Veins take blood with low oxygen to the heart, whereas arteries take blood rich in oxygen away from the heart. But more often than not, an artery and a vein are misguided for each other. The reality is venous troubles and can end to further severe problems in human vascular structure. In the case of spider veins and varicose; at first glimpse, these hideous looks on your legs are nothing but beauty or skin troubles. But if entirely ignored, these troubles can show the way to the thickening, swelling and discoloration of the skin on human legs; or inferior, these venous disarrays can show the way to venous ulcers. If you are suffering from any type of sickness in your veins, it is an excellent gamble that you are having weary and aching legs for the majority of the time. And these leg pains look to get bad after a lengthened time of standing or sitting.

In ruthless cases, your venous troubles also create it tough for you to do even the easiest and simplest of work out.For the majority of part, venous troubles on human legs are taking about by too much stress and pressure on human leg veins. Aside from the duration of time, human mass and human stance have a straight bang on the quantity of force that human veins have to stand. While spider veins and varicose are symbols that you might be experiencing from a further devastating venous sickness.Veins carry low-oxygen blood to the heart, while arteries carry oxygen-rich blood away from the heart. But more often than not, a vein and an artery are mistaken for each other. For this reason, problems in both components of the vascular system are thought of as one and the same. In effect, treatments have often focused on problems in the arteries, while vein diseases have been reduced to nothing more than cosmetic troubles.

Treatments

Internal hemorrhoids may not be visible, but they can cause troublesome symptoms. An inflamed hemorrhoid located above the anal opening is considered an internal hemorrhoid. Some alternative medicines contain herbs proven to work on not only easing internal hemorrhoid symptoms, but restoring tissues to their normal position and function. The herbs witch hazel, psyllium, and horse chestnut are particularly useful in helping internal hemorrhoids heal. The first sign of internal hemorrhoids is usually rectal bleeding during or after a bowel movement. Typically, the bleeding is minor and goes away in a few days. But an internal hemorrhoid signals a problem that could get worse if not treated.

For the squeamish, an internal hemorrhoid can be difficult to treat. You can use a hemorrhoid suppository to relieve symptoms and protect the area while it heals. For hygiene, you might use a rubber finger cot or clean Q-tip to help you insert it. Some hemorrhoid ointments come with their own applicators so you can apply directly to the internal hemorrhoid.Other plant products that have been shown in lab studies to relieve hemorrhoid symptoms on contact include arnica, sage, and butcher’s broom. These are typically found in topical (cream) preparations. It’s safest to use the commercially processed forms found in hemorrhoid medicine, as raw plants may be toxic.
